Wild Custom Bike Proves Money Really Does Buy Happiness

The word “custom” has different meanings to a lot of different people. In addition, the type of motorcycle that defines “custom” varies based on who you ask. But it’s safe to say that this beautiful 1999 FXSTS resides at the higher end of Harley-Davidson customs. We ran across this impressive ride on eBay, listed with an asking price of $18,995.

The owner of this awesome ride spared no expense in building his dream bike. Reportedly, he has $55,000 in receipts to prove it! Needless to say, the gorgeous paint job undoubtedly took up a sizeable chunk of that budget. Laid down by Pro-Paint in Baltimore, Maryland, the flamed paint is quite simply a masterpiece.

The list of modifications on this 1999 FXSTS is almost a mile long. Some of the highlights include the Jesse James Hell Bent pipes, and Arlen Ness Mirrors. PM provided the forward controls and brakes fore and aft.

The swing arm is chromed, and the curved Paul Yafee license plate holder is simply awesome. The Arlen Ness headlight glows blue, and the custom rear fender houses a custom brake light. A Corbin seat sits behind the stretched tank. Lastly, Speeding Bullet turn signals complete the slick look.

Don’t you dare think this is a show queen, either. With an EV 77 cm piston kit and upgraded carburetor, it moves pretty good, too. The engine features adjustable push rods and a Crane single fire coil and ignition. There’s no doubt sweet sounds come directly from those down swept pipes!

With the looks and the pedigree to match any custom springer out there, this 1999 FXSTS is a real gem no matter how you define “custom.”
