Biker Culture: Rider Handles Road Rager like a Champ

By -

Compilation clip is an excellent safety reminder for bikers to always be aware of, as the title says, ‘stupid, angry’ drivers.

Sure, we’ve all been there: You’re cruising the roadways on your Harley, paying attention to the rules of the road and the driving safety of yourself and those around you, as you always do, when all of a sudden, some bonehead driver cuts in front of you without any warning. You chalk it up to just another daily trip where someone else’s stupidity and carelessness almost ruined your day, but you’re just thankful that a potential tragedy was avoided.

But…you know you want to give that driver a piece of your mind — a piece filled with a number of expletives! However, you know that reaction would prove to be futile since you really can’t cure stupidity. Plus, you don’t want to open yourself up to some stranger who may have a weapon or a bad attitude that will only escalate the tense situation.

However, some fearless motorcyclists just can’t resist trying to right an obvious wrong. In fact, there are so many of these law-abiding road warriors intent on making the highways safer by confronting clueless drivers that YouTube is filled with compilation clips about these very situations.

Our favorite of these compilations is the recently-posted “Stupid, Angry People vs. Bikers,” which serves as a great reminder to always be safe on the road and keep check on any potential dangerous moves from fellow commuters. Also, this particular video includes the most inspiring example of a badass biker being confronted by an angry driver who was clearly in the wrong and an obvious threat to his riding safety.

The biker handles the road-rage encounter like a champ. In fact, by the end, the car driver is profusely apologizing to him.

The sceneario starts at the 3-minute mark in the clip above and begins with the faulty driver pulling up to the motorcyclist, who is stopped on the side of a road. The standoff kicks off with the angry car driver lamenting over the fact that the biker flipped the bird at the driver. From the safety of the car, the driver goes back and forth with the biker, who is incredibly calm throughout, and demanding to know what went wrong to cause this reaction.

In what looks like a scene from a Dirty Harry movie and in the most badass way possible, the biker cooly flips up the visor of his helmet, which makes an emphatic snap sound, and begins to politely and calmly explain to the driver the rules of the road. He mentions a second time that he was following those rules, but the driver clearly was not, which almost resulted in a crash between the two vehicles.

The motorcycle rider handles the road-rage encounter like a champ despite the heated situation. In fact, the car driver spends most of the clip in a huff, but by the end, that angry law-breaker is profusely apologizing to the biker. It is an inspiring scene that will make you want to tip your helmet in salute to this rider’s bravery and sheer badassery*!

(*Yeah, we know that “badassery” is not really a word, but this dude deserves a new adjective created in his honor!)
