Harley Owner Sells Home to Fund His Custom Monster

We love our Harleys here in America, but with a brand that has this much cache, historical heritage and unmistakable style, people all over the world have fallen in love with H-D. In fact, one man in Britain loved his Harley so much that he even sold his home so that he could finance his dream customization project. I am not sure there are many of us who would have the same dedication.

The man’s name is Malcolm Watson and he created a custom one-off bike based around the Alien franchise. The bike cost nearly $50,000 to create based on current conversion rates, (the quote is 30,000 GBP) so I can see why he deemed it necessary to sell his home to pay for the bike.

Now don’t be concerned about some wild homeless biker running amok in England, he does have a place to live, he just dumped his house for cash and now he has a rent payment at an apartment in his hometown. He may be crazy, but he isn’t stupid.

If you wondered what kind of bike could be created if you sold your house and dumped all your money into one machine, just take a look and be amazed. The detail and custom touches on this two-wheeled slab of awesome are unbelievable.

The paint alone was likely more money than every car and bike I’ve ever owned combined. Some of the more notable pieces aside from the paint include the seat, exhaust and wheels. Since he finished the bike, Watson has taken his ride to several shows and won many awards. He won Overall Winner and Best in Show at the Cambridge Chopper Club show, and he was runner up at the Mods n’ Rockers show in Norfolk.

To get a better look at this award-winning bike, just check out this video. Have a towel handy, you are likely to drool.
