Harley and the Davidsons Really Know How to Party
Harley and the Davidsons is a new three-part miniseries that will air on the Discovery Channel in September. It’s based on the “true story” of the motorcycle company’s founders William Harley and brothers Walter and Arthur Davidson.
“It is a story about brotherhood, an ironclad will to succeed and going against the conventional wisdom of that time. The founders of Harley-Davidson created more than just a motorcycle. They created modern entrepreneurism,” says Discovery Honcho, Rich Ross in a press release.
The show’s trailer teaser with a fresh cast of faces looks pretty exciting with plenty of racing action and behind the scenes drama. Discovery held a premiere party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles with the cast and crew to celebrate.
There was even red carpet motorcycle parking for bikers invited to the big shindig.
Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones) stars as Walter Davidson, Robert Aramayo (Game of Thrones) as William Harley and Bug Hall (American Pie) plays Arthur Davidson.
Other cast members include Stephen Rider, Jessica Camacho, Daniel Coonan, Annie Read, Wilson Bethel, Dougray Scott, Gabe Luna, Alex Shaffer, Essa O’Shea and Sean Scully. Try and pick them out in a lineup and we’ll send you a free HDForums durag.
The motorcycles used in the production were made from scratch and the frames were steel with no shocks according to Deadline Hollywood. Sounds like a fun ride.
Several of the bikes were on hand for guests to check out while wearing virtual reality glasses that simulated dirt track racing from the miniseries. They make you look really cool too.
There was plenty of tasty food like mac & cheese and lamb chops with moonshine cocktails and ice cream “sammiches” to chow down on. It was delicious.
Overall it was a pretty damn good time. Let’s hope the miniseries is as good as the premiere party. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted on the latest news.
