Harley riders have another thing to be proud about. Harley dealerships and H.O.G. chapters have pulled in over $160,000 dollars for the United Service Organization. They collected the money during Harley's Military appreciation month in November. Each H.O.G. chapter was challenged to donate $500 or more with Wild Prairie H.O.G. donating the most at $10,853. They'll be honored by Harley-Davidson, the USO, and members of the military at their Feb 9th meeting.

Troops will get the standard USO care package of snack and toiletries, but with the addition of two tickets to the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee. Harley-Davidson has always been a class act when it comes to their support for the troops and this donation added support for that claim. You can read the whole press release here.

Eric Craigmiles (Fri, 10 Feb 2012 19:15:44 -0800): While on active duty and now as a retired Military member I have used the USO several times. It's refreshing to have a place to relax while traveling on orders or on leave to home. I personally want to thank those who volunteer to support our Military Members or those who donate to make it possible.
