Over a Million Bucks for “Captain America” Bike?

Aggressive choppers like Captain America aren’t really my thing, because I like motorcycles that turn and stop, in addition to looking cool. That said? I’ve always appreciated “Captain America” and not just because of it’s starring role in the iconic biker flick Easy Rider.

Everything that makes it impractical makes absolutely gorgeous to look at, and I’m positive that someday, I’ll own a stars and stripes helmet—they just look so damn awesome. The bike that’s hitting the auction block is the one that—spoiler alert—is the one that was crashed at the end of the film, so there’s obviously been some pretty extensive restoration done. I didn’t realize that all the other Captain America bikes—there were four total—were actually stolen from the studio lot before the m0vie was even released. They were never recovered, so there’s an outside chance that they’ll turn up someday.

The predictions are that the sale will fetch over a million dollars, which would—to my knowledge, at least—make it the first bike to crest that lofty mark.

Do you think it’ll fetch a million or more? Sound off on the Forum! >>
