MY RIDE! A Sportster Forty-Eight in the Garage

Sportster Forty-Eight

When Harley-Davidson introduced the Sportster Forty-Eight, people immediately flocked to it. The motorcycle was made to be being much of the same look and feel of a bike from 1948 without actually owning, well, a bike from 1948.

It was a masterpiece, and it still is. HDForums member Sweforty8 is the proud owner of a Sportster Forty-Eight himself, and we’re sure it’s a joy to ride through the Swedish countryside!

Besides just being an all-around great bike, it was one just begging to be modified.

So far, Sweforty8 has added a Harley-Davidson Super Tuner, an Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 air cleaner, Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3″ slip-on mufflers with competition baffles, a Harley-Davidson passenger foot-peg kit, Jammer 10″ Z-bars, and much, much more.

He has also lifted the tank two inches, removed the front fender, performed a wire tuck, and more.

But why ever stop improving? In the future Sweforty8 hopes to add a gloss black headlight trim ring, smoked front turn signals, and a Lejonkulan black leather saddle bag.

It goes without saying that he has taken very good care of his hog, and we’re sure it is loud, fast, and a righteous ride.

Sweforty8 has taken a great direction with his bike, and it both looks and rides great. Go drop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
