‘Snow Drag’ Harley is the Cure for the Winter Blues

Slovakian Harley-Davidson Sportster Snowbike Tears Up the Slopes

You probably think you’ve seen pretty much everything when it comes to Sportsters. But then along comes Slovakian Harley dealer Banska Bystrica. While the rest of the world — or at least the Northern Hemisphere — puts their bikes away for the winter, these folks do the opposite. They built the “Snow Drag,” an insane combination of Harley-Davidson motorcycle and snowmobile.

The Sportster received a ski up front and a snowmobile track in the back, but there’s so much more to it than that. The wheelbase had to be lengthened considerably to make room for the track. Then, a conversion system was fabricated to fit the right hand Timbersled conversion to the Sportster’s left side belt.

Because the Timbersled kit isn’t designed to work with a Harley’s braking system, all of that had to be removed and replaced as well. Rear foot controls were added to provide better balance and move the rider further back, which proved a necessity given the extra length.

The result is easily the baddest winter Harley we’ve ever seen. While it was built specifically for the Battle of the Kings competition, the Snow Drag isn’t just a show piece. That much is evident from the video they produced to showcase the build. It receives a proper flogging on the slopes, even pulling off a small jump.

So, if you find yourself suffering from rider’s withdrawal amidst another long hard winter, rest assured that there is a way to cure those winter blues!
