Spotlight on Lady Riders: Emily

The Spotlight shines on Lady Rider Emily. I bet you can’t guess what she used to do for a living! What’s been so fun doing this series is reading and learning what has motivated so many women to ride, to keep riding, and to inspire others to ride.

Name? Emily Moore- Gumina

Years riding? 30 years

What got you started? My father got me started riding motorcycles. I used to ride on the back of his Harley when he took me to nursery school.

What keeps you riding? It is enjoyable, relaxing and it is one more thing I can share with my wife. The friendships that I have made from this hobby or passion are everlasting.

What would you do differently? There is nothing I would do differently. It was something I was introduced by my father at a young age and it progressed from riding with him, to the dirt and then to the road as I got older.

What kind of bike do you currently own? I currently do not own a motorcycle. I have owned a GSX-R 600, 750 and a Buell XB 12R. I have never owned a Harley Davidson, but rode one with my past career and have a very generous Uncle who allows me to ride his 2006 Road King or his 2007 Fat Boy.
