Best Touring Seat

Best advice I can give...try before you buy if at all possible. Go to a rally that has a couple of different seat manufacturers, go to your dealership and ask to try some seats, or simply ask some folks parked there if you can sit and try it out. Trial and error on this can get very expensive.

or cheepo approach- I use the stock ultra seat for touring, SG seat in town is good for 4 hours, painful at 6. the ultra seat os good for 8/10 hour days, day after day.
Of course this is on an EG Classic and the tourpak is on when touring so the seat doesn't look like a turd.
my riding pal has a sundowner and it is much better than the SG seat, but he does whine a little more than me at the end of the day- but then he was born in NYC...
stretches and walking around at gas stops to get the blood moving is good.

I will never again buy a seat I can't try on. Too much wasted money. Get in on the HD dealer demo seat thing. My dealer actually has a Danny Grey seat I'm hoping to demo today... But even without, I would restrict to what I can get to try out.
I wish seat manufacturers would get in on the idea, of shipping demo seats to dealerships (HD's seats have DEMO written all over them).

I have the solution for you
send your stock seat out to Mean City Cycles to get it worked over and it will make you happy 100% of the time no matter how long you ride
then get the removable back rest from HD that drops in when you need it, and leave it in your saddle bag or home when you don't need it
that works for me
