Polk pad 2000.2 amp
Anyone familiar with this amp? I was checking out the Polk site when I stumbled across it, looks like it might be a great bike amp. 250 watts x2 into 2 ohms, twice the power of the Arc and Fosgate 2 channel amps! It measures 6 3/4 wide by 8 1/4 long by 1 13/16 height. I'm wondering if it can fit in a Streetglide fairing, if so I may have found my new amp.

D2000.2— POLK AUDIO AMP SPECS
250W x 2 RMS @ 2 Ohms
125W x 2 RMS @ 4 Ohms
500W x 1 RMS Bridged @ 4 Ohms.
PBR 300X2 amp specs
150 watts x 2 chan. 2 ohms:
100 watts x 2 chan. 4 ohms:
300 watts x 1 chan. bridged 4 ohm:
Polk is a class D amp, and RF is a class BR.........
Looks like this would be a good amp to run 4 of the 4 ohm speakers off of, as your ohm load would = 2...........
It is an inch and a half longer, 2 1/2 inches wider, and a shade over a 1/4 inch thicker.
Maybe someone running a PBR can tell you how much 'wiggle room' is left.
ONLY $30 more for the POLK

Whoops, I was looking at 2 ohm ratings for the Arc and Polk, not quite double compared to the Fosgate. That rating is over 3 times my Rev 70.2, should be a very noticeable improvement. I found the Polk for $182 shipped at Amazon, hard to beat 250 watts per channel for that price! It should also run much cooler than the Fosgate, many report that amp to run very hot. The only issue is, will it fit? It is about the same length and height as the Arc 125.2, but it's 2 inches wider. I may make a mock up and try it out.

Instead of the Polk amp, check into the Precision Power(ppi) Phantom 600.2 . Rumor is they use the same circuit board, but the Phantom puts out 300x2 at 2ohms. Another plus is they cost less than the RF amp. I just picked one up at vminnovations.com for $151.00 free shipping. Type in (facebook) in the coupon code spot to get it at this price. The good thing about class D amps, is they run alot cooler than AB-BR-GH class amps. Great for inside the fairing applications, in my opinion.
