Default Fat Boy axle size?

I have a 2005 Fat Boy. I am starting to get the Fat Spoke buzz. I have been looking at wheels but have no idea what size axle the Fat Boy has. Can some one please verify that a '05 Fat Boy has either 3/4 or 1 inch axle bearings.

Thanks guys. If, and its just an if, I swap wheels it will be for the fat spoke, radial laced wheels. One of the things I like about Fat Boys is the bomber style wheels, but I really like white walls and fat spokes. That being said, I need to know my options before I make decisions.

Part two of my question is, will ANY 3/4 axle wheel fit? I remember reading something about bearing changes in 2000-up bikes. But maybe thats not the case with the 2000-2005 Fat boys. Please advise

they went to a 150 tire in the rear in 2003. I think the 150 rim has a bit more offset in it. the earlier rims had a 130 on it

Thanks, wils5150.

I just got off the phone with Jireh, and they said their King Spoke wheels will not fit my bike. When I asked about the 3/4 axle thing, he just said nope, won't fit. He did say, he "suspects they will" be making the King Spokes for the 2000-up Harley's, but he does not know when. So since I don't particularly like DNA due to past product issues, and Ride Wright is a little bit too proud of there wheels in the pricing department, I will have to hold off for a while. Its funny, I simply want Wide White Walls and think without a spoke wheel, the WWW will look goofy on the Fat Boy. So, for now I keep plowing ahead with chrome upgrades and do wheels last.

King spoke wheels only fit up to 99 bikes meaning they have the timken bearings in them. 00 and up have sealed bearings. 00-06 have 3/4" axles. 07 and up softails all have 25mm sealed bearings with the exception of the cross bones which has 3/4" bearings.

Thanks Hogpro, nice to hear from a site sponsor. That certainly sounds like the answer I didn't want. Oh well, I can either give the white walls a shot with the bomber wheels, or just spend the money else where. Thanks again.
