SickSaddles.com Custom Seat = AWESOME.
Hey folks just wanted to write a quick review on my new SickSaddles.com custom seat.
For those in a hurry the bottom line is... this seat is AWESOME.
But not quite as awesome as the service Ed @ Sick Saddles provides.
For people that want the full story- here it is.
I started looking for a new seat more out of need than want.
I needed to sit about an inch lower.
But I wasn't quite sure what style direction I was going to take with my bike (I had a STOCK 2008 XL883) so I didn't want to get anything too crazy or too expensive.
My options were:
1) Get the stock seat modified
2) Find a good custom seat
Once I found Sick Saddles it was a no brainer.
For about the same price as a stock seat trim I got a new custom seat, made with memory foam - AND a matching passenger pillion.
(important as my wife does sometime like to come along for quick ride)
Even better (for me) was that I could get a the seat in a nice plain style which wouldn't get in the way of me playing with my bike's look.
I should mention that Sick Saddles has some AWESOME design options that I'm already jealous of - but for me the simple style is what I needed.
Having said that - it changes the lines of the bike just enough that you can tell "something" is cooler about this bike than others.
The seat sits nice and low, looks GREAT, and despite it's low stance is AT LEAST as comfortable as the stock seat due to the memory foam.
It's CLEARLY well made and I just love looking at it.
Ed worked QUICK and I had my new seats fast.
The memory foam solo seat is AWESOME.
Most importantly was the level of service Ed provided though.
VERY responsive.
VERY Helpful.
VERY tolerant of my silly questions.
Anyway - big thanks to Ed.
Highly recommend his work.
Here are some pics - Please ignore the state of my garage...
One of these days I'll get some pics with the passenger pillion too.
(Thanks Ed!)

Congrats to your new Seat. I ordered myself also a new Solo Seat at Sick Saddles. Mailed with Ed yesterday and he said, my Seat will be finished and shipped very soon. Can't await to get it here.
I also can say that Ed is a very kind and helpful Guy. I asked him many Questions and he was very patient with me and replies emails quick and friendly.
I ordered myself a Diamond Pleated Solo Seat in antique brown/distressed Leather with black Stitchings.
Ed said he will mail me a Picture before he boxes and ships the Seat. Will post it here
I very exited and looking foreward to my new Seat.
