Should I trade for a 93 HD Sportster 1200
I have a 74 Yamaha XS650 Bobber & I am trying to get rid of it for a two sitter. This one guy wants to trade his 93 HD Sportster.
He said,
"Previous Owner claimed it has work done heads/pistons/cams, but he haven't been into the engine yet to confirm. Current set of tins has a fatboy tank/console with some pretty ragged custom paint, but comes with pretty clean light blue tins off of a '96 883. Needs some minor cleanup **** done (hiding wires, a good detail, etc) but it's in pretty decent shape even though I just picked it up for a vin/engine and trans."
- Please let me know if its a good idea. I'm not that great selecting bikes
Here are pics he sent:

If you are planning on a lot of two-up riding for extended periods, you don't want a Sportster. If riding two-up on short hauls, not a problem. I have no idea what your Yamaha looks like so hard to judge a straight-up trade for you. There's also little information on the Sportster - how many miles, does it run, can you test ride it, condition of tires, brakes, clutch? I would lean towards a trade but am hesitant to make an outright reco based on the sketchy info provided on both bikes.

Don't listen to em, you can 2-up on a Sporty, no worries. I just made a post, "touring on a Sporty", check it out. I just did 1000+ with the missus plus luggage.
My gut feel tells you to make the trade!
