Default 1/4 fairing on nightster

I currently have a windshield on my 07 nightster and just do not like the look, i like the look of the 1/4 fairings (and not because of SOA) but i take my bike on longer road trips some times. how much wind will the 1/4 fairing actually block? ive ridin without a windshield and after 4 hours on the road it was not pleasant. will the 1/4 be enough to make it ridable?

I have the headlight visor and it def takes some of the wind blast off my chest.... I could imagine the 1/4 fairing doing that and more.

It wont be as effective as a windshield, but, probably a positive trade off on looks and w/ some function.

The H-D Quarter Fairing is great for keeping the wind off your chest at highway speeds.

The smaller Headlamp Visor probably wouldn't block as much wind on the highway.

To give you an idea, this is with just the ness headlight block:

This is with the ness headlight block and about a five inch lift

Lifting it higher helps much much better

they are biltwell friscos, its a 8inch rise, and only required to change the brake line cable

in the pics i posted the angle of the bars followed the angle of the forks, i have since then changed the angle of the handlebars to straight up and down and its slightly forward i like the look better , not as comfy though
