I am on duty at the fire department. I tried asking my wife to read the owners manual and ell the capacities but she was unsuccessful. Could some on please tell me the capacities of the engine, tranny, and the primary? I am trying to pick up supplies in the morning. Thank you for all your help. Josh

 

engine 2.5, trans and primary less than 1 qt each

My service manual says 2.5 qts on engine re-fill. 1qt primary & 1qt trans.

 

I ve never been able to put the full quart into the trans or primary, i suggest put a little over 3/4 then cheque your levels then toup as needed.

 

I usually use closer to 3 quarts for the engine. 1qt primary and 1 qt trans.

I'll put 2.5 in the engine, about 9/10ths of a quart in the primary, and if i let the trans drain a long time, it will take the full quart. My bike usually needs that other .5 a quart between oil changes to stay full. It uses about 1/4 of a quart every 1,000 miles
