Default bendix jet #

have adjustable mainjet bendix carb on my 73. as some of you know i have been having some problems with this carb. anyway newest prob-the main jet, bolt that holds on the float bowl broke at the base yesterday! when i bought the bike the float bowl bolt was really wrenched on tight,guessing it held on as long as it could..i can"t find a # on this thing anywhere. i know you can buy the kit,jet,needle,spring,o ring.i just need the jet,anyone tell me the # for this? thanks

thanks Mick. everything but Bendix on this site....... i can find the jets alot of places,just don't know which goes on the adjustable model.also if one for the non adjustable would work?they screw in the bowl too,just don't adjust on top

I do not know about the Bendix.

I have an adjustable main jet kit for a Keihin butterfly-style carb. I believe that it has a standard 180 main jet, and has a mechanism to adjust the fuel flow down from that.

So it may be that yours just takes the largest jet available.

Was it the bolt that broke? The bolt that holds on the float bowl screws into what I call the 'main jet body' in this pic..........



Is the bolt broken off in this piece?

If not, then tell us which piece broke...........

it's the main jet that broke,#6 in the diagram. broke below the threads,where the holes are.

Or it's time to update to a CV carb. Best way to go.. Good luck

I know you used to be able to get the jets on their own through the dealerships.
I would be surprised if you can get them like that now.

I would start by calling:
