You expect an oil filter to help in mpg? Lemme know how that works out for ya. If you want a good quality oil filter that is user friendly because of the nut welded on the end to make removal easier, then I suggest the K&N filter.
why would you do that? have you ever checked filter tests, being a lifetime wrench and seeing dammage done by aftermarket parts I would never run anything but oem,
I like the Amsoil filters, and i've tried every oil filter (except mesh/screen) including bosch and purolator. These give me less blowby and i'm pretty sure they're made in the USA.
I noticed that K&N's are recommended for increased performance. Saw a review that someone had an increase of 5-10mpg between fill ups from changing to a K&N using a 99' Road King . I read off AMS oil's website that better oil flow through a filter increases efficiency. Better efficiency often leads to less work meaning less fuel and or more power. Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed a difference if they had switched from stock filters.
