Default Soundstream or Arc 2ch Amp

I trying to decide between the Soundstream PN2.350D 2ch and the Arc KS125.2BX 2ch amp. I've read allot or good reviews about the Arc, but don't know much about the Soundstream. I'm just going to stick with the two fairing speakers and have decided on the Polk MM651's. Which of these amps do you guys prefer for those that have tried them? Any fitment issues with the Soundstream? I will also try to get the amp/module mounting bracket from Scott Ezzell.

I have an Arc KS125.2 amp powering some Focal components and the combo sounds really nice. I did have some RCA inputs go bad on the amp but Arc replaced it under warranty right near the end of its one year warranty. That says good customer service to me. The newer Arc BX has a cooling fan but I kinda wonder about moisture/humidity issues in a m/c environment? That said, if I ever have any issues requiring service/replacement, I'll probably give the SoundStream a try. It's a bit smaller than the Arc and puts out a bit more power according to the specs. Check with SoundStream but the 2.350D might not be available yet. If not, the Arc is a good amp...

Thanks troop! I didn't realize the Soundstream 2ch wasn't available yet. I assume it will be the same high quality and clean power as the rest of their amps. I know UltraNutz recommends their PN4.520D 4ch. By the way, the Soundstream PN2.350D 2ch should be available by the end of this month according to an email from Soundstream.

The ARC lineup of amps are great amps and have served the M/C world well for quite some time so I wouldn't turn my nose up at it but I do have my concerns about the BX functionality of these amps as it seems to be nothing more than "bass boost" technology which most folks I hear/read have it turned off as it introduces distortion at a much earlier than expected stage of the volume/gain controls. Most folks simply turn it off and are happy with those results.

The SS having a bit more power is an understatement. 250w vs 350w; that's quite a bit of difference IMO. I talked to SS last week and then again yesterday morning received an update and yes it appears they are delaying the release until later this month along with a completely revamped line of their infamous tarantula amps. I did notice that Amazon is now listing the PN2.350d in google search but turns up nothing if you search within Amazon itself, so it must be getting close.

Either way you go, you've made a good decision. Me personally, I'd wait for the PN2.350D.

Hopefully they don't change the physical specs of the 2.350D amp. Its small size will make install placement a breeze. Street prices should be pretty appealing as well. They told me mid March 3 weeks ago so who really knows when the release date will be? If you're in know real hurry, yeah, wait..

Thanks for the replies! I'm in no hurry, so I think I'll wait for the PN2.350D to be released. I like the specs on it, especially for it's size. I currently have the Hawg Wired DCS with their 6 1/2s and while it's a high quality piece, I'm looking for a little more punch. It will be listed on ebay soon! Is their a wiring kit that you guys recommend? I've seen the Arc kit for Harley's and I assume it will work fine with the Soundstream?

The specs on the March released version of the PN2.350D are
4.75" wide, 1.5" height, 5.50" long.
