Default Road King: Supertrapp SE vs Vance & Hines Ovals

Hi, Can anyone comment on the difference in sound level between the Supertrapp SE slip ons and Vance and Hines Ovals. I am looking for pipes for my 2007 Road King, that are a bit louder than stock but not too loud. I am also looking for a performance increase, with the addition of abetterair filter and Power Commander. Thanks....

SuperTrappp makes the 07 SE Slip-ons for H-D and are the same ones they sell. They MIGHT be a hair louder than the stock mufflers I had on my 07 Road Glde with 3500 miles.

Check out the link of a sound video a guy took with his 07 Streeet Glde with V & H Ovals. They sound great but a little too loud for all the touring I do.

I have a 2005 RK Classic w/ SE Slip-Ons....the sound is ok...I did have a problem with the chrome peeling off one muffler. Dealer replaced after a nice fight!

I bought a 2007 Ultra Classic a few months ago...with theV&H Oval...nicer sound....nicer look...like em' better

Have SE Stage 1 Air Kits on both...

Race Tuner on the Ultra...

I get 42 mpg on RK all the time - High as 50 mpg (Once) going 60 on cruise for 150 miles!

I get33-35 mpg on Ultra [&:]...might pick up after a good break-in? ButI love the bike!

BonesUK,

FYI....The 07 SE Slip-ons are a lot quieter than previous year SE's. They meet new EPA noise restrictions.

I would either go for the V & H Ovals or SE slash cuts; the SE billeted baffels soud like a set of jack hammers on the open road.
