So my bike has been running like crap lately. I made a post a week or so back about my bike having a stumble in it and asking a lot of questions about tuners. Well, I was farting around in the garage yesterday and what did I find? My exhaust gaskets!?!?! Apparently when I took the exhaust off to install my new bars/cables, I somehow got the exhaust back on without gaskets. What a dumbass move.... Anyways I got them back on and the bike is running great! While investigating the stumble I did the following: completely removed and re-installed entire air cleaner assembly, made several calls to Vance and Hines, removed exhaust baffles to ensure I had the correct ones, checked every fastener in the fuel and air components, priced new exhaust systems, talked to dealerships about dyno tuning, and cussed a lot. In the end, it was all my fault. So there you go. Feel free to laugh at my expense, I can take it.

I did the same friggin thing with the front pipe around a month ago. I am too a doom ahse! it happens bro, at least we ain't predictable................... ride safe brother.

 

Well good news is it was a somewhat cheap fix. All it cost was your pride.

 

I didn't see your original post .. but we all make dumb moves now and then.

The best one on the forum was the guy who's bike died 1/2 mile from his house. He pushed it home. Checked his battery, connections, charged his battery ... did everything he could think of.

Then he posted his problem here. Someone suggested he check the kill switch.

He'd accidentally hit it when he hit his turn signal.

sounds like ur service manual is same as mine...oil change section in mine says, pull plug...drain oil...add oil...put in plug after you see it dripping out of drain!
