painted inner fairing
About to replace my inner fairing as soon as it comes in today. Should I have gotten a new seal or will the one in my bike be ok to reuse. My bike is new. How many have actually put a new seal in? Thanks guys

Might as well buy one, they're cheap. When you see you don't need to replace it you'll already have it for next time. I had mine a part a number of times before I finally replaced it.

Buy a new one. No matter how new your existing one is, it will never come off right. At least it didn't for me.

I for got to buy a new one and ended up using a little 3M weatherstripping adhesive that I already had.

A reused seal will never adhere as well as a new seal. Plus factor in that they get slightly deformed upon removal, and you see why a new seal is the smart money.

It's called Inner Fairing Extrusion P/N 58311-96 $4.99 each list. Be sure and not stretch or bunch up the rubber as you apply it or it will not hold.
