Default clear powdercoat

has anyone had anything clear powdercoated? i got my AC cover engraved and looking at either clearing it or clear powdercoating it. if its cleared it has to be sanded which might mess the design up which is why im leaning towards powder coat. my question is if you have clear powdercoat does it have any discoloration or does it distort the paint at all? i.e. haze, wavyness, streaks or striations

We clear parts all the time, we have a powder that is formulated for polished and bare metals, the issue is that if it is polished it can dull it a bit... here are a few samples of polished/cleared parts

is it etched Alum or steel? if it is alum i would just keep some wax on it, clear powder will dull down that contrast cut
