I'm trying to find out if anyone knows for a fact that the frame of the 14 FLHTK is the same as the 09-13. Also, how about the wiring for the tail lights? Hopefully, someone can check an older bike with the new one side by side.

I'm going to put a trailer hitch and plug in wire harness on our new 14 Limited and so far all of the places I have gotten a response from (Dennis Kirk, J&P, N-Line trailers) say they don't know if the stuff for a 13 will work. I traded an 03 Fat Boy, so nothing I had before transfers to the new bike.

The frame is heavily modified in several places including the neck and engine mounts and no longer will allow for a side car.
My 2009 taillamp from my SG plugged right into my 2014 FLHTK

wiring has changed to canbus i believe but tail lights wiring should be the same

 

All the hitch manufacutrers I contacted are working on a new design for a hitch to fit the 2014 FLHT series......previous designs do not fit. Open Road Trailers, MC Hitch, USA Motorcycle Hitch Supply, etc....
