Default Heated Seat or Not?

Looking for opinions here. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on buying a Hammock seat. Now the question is heated or not? I'm in Utah and will ride occasionally during the winter when there's no snow/ice on the road (or maybe heading south to get out of the cold!). First year with a touring bike (old bike is a Heritage). Anyone have heat but wish they didn't spend the extra $$ or anyone don't have it, but wish they did?

Thanks for the opinions!

Default heated seat

Live in Nebraska.....rode every month last year....38 degrees was the coldest. Put on my long underwear, jeans, sweatshirt heavy jacket and gloves with thinsulate. Perfectly comfortable....and much cheaper than a heated seat and heated grips.

If I had the extra money...sure would like to have....but for the money...putting on an extra layer of clothes has always worked for me.

Hope you are happy with your decision whatever it might be...

+1 on the heated seat and grips. They work for a little while, but in the long run, won't keep you warm. From my experience, they work for about 30 minutes, then they cut out. IMO, not worth it. Dress warmly.

No need for them here in Texas (maybe january and feb on a REALLY cold day)
but, i would want one if i lived somewhere cold.

... I would go for the grips first and wear some thermals.

My Corbin is heated, great in cold weather.
When your *** is warm, the rest of you feels warmer!

First, put the gun down.
Second, no heated seat.

I put a Hammock seat on my Ultra Limited a few months ago thought about a heated seat I had a BMW which had one only used it a few times didnt make that big of difference to me. I really like the Hammock seat couldn't see spending extra 500.00 for the heated version just dress a little warmer.

We have a heated hammock seat. Just tonight on the way home from an event during a warm day it got chilly, and the seat got used. My wife in particular enjoyed the warmth. It took quite a bit to finally spend the money and maybe there are as good or better brands than the Harley hammock but the seat is comfortable for both her and myself and the heat is great, even in moderate weather. One thing I don't like is the rider position is a little taller.

If you don't buy it you won't know if it's worth it to you, unless your dealer has one you could try. But I have a regular Hammock and is the most comfortable seat I've ever had by far ! HD Road Zeppelin and Corbin's have Not got it beat.
