Default 2014 Limited Hitch and Wiring

Anyone have any idea about a NEW 2014 Ultra Limited?? Will the existing hitches and wiring work (2009 and up) on the new bike?

I'm picking up a 2014 Limited on wednesday and one of the first things I want to do is hold the hitch up near the bike and see if it will work. My inittial thinking is that it will fit. The bigger issue for me is that I have and Ultra Classic with the rubber bumper on the back, so there will probably be a gap between the hitch and the bottom of the fender. I dont that that gap will impact the hitch, but it will be a gap none the less, so might have to get creative on how to fill that gap. Will give feedback and pics once i get more info

My 14 will arrive in a week, I am coming of a 08 so I need to buy a new hitch anyway.

Also interested in the make that works well with the new frame (09 and up)

Thanks

I put a Bushtec ( Pin Type ) Hitch on my 2009 FLHTCU ( I have a Bushtec Quantum Trailer ) and aside from some minor discrepancies with the installation instructions it fit well ... I used the Hidden Receiver Type Hitch along with their Isolator and wiring ( Plug In Type ) harness and it works great.

I have a Bushtec Roadstar and i've used the hitch on my 09 and 12 ultra classics. Today I went out in the garage and held up one of the side brackets to my 2014 UC LTd.
The side bracket has 3 holes that need to be connected to the bike.

It appeared that 2 out of the 3 holes would line up on the new bike but not all three. Im going to contact Bushtec and get their input on how it looks from their perspective. Hate like heck to have to buy a new hitch, but guess ill do what i have to do. Fi anyone has anymore info on the Bushtec setup would appreciate it.

thanks

will do blair. Im ok with drilling a hole if that will fix the problem and assuming the angles would be correct. Ill take a pic of how it looks and post it

here is a pic of me holding the bracket up to the bike. I just dont see how this bracket can connect to all 3.

If a person could live with just 2 holes, and assuming the angle was ok and assuming the electrical hooks up ok, then maybe it might work.

That was the quandary that I ran into installing the Bushtec Hitch on my 2009 FLHTCU. After beating my head against the wall I contacted Bushtec and they said that the "NEW INSTRUCTIONS" show that the front bolt is not used ... It works fine and I just finished a 4,000 mile trip with no problems what so ever. Properly positioned the bracket should be parallel with the angle of the shock. I should note that I do not have a Quick Disconnect Tour Pak ( I believe that the instructions are different for it ) PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy of the installation instructions if it will help.

Here are a couple of pictures. Notice that the top forward hole is not used. This picture is from the left side ( primary side ) of the bike ( 2009 FLHTCU ). Also, behind the bracket ( side plate ) there are two different spacers that mount between the inside of the side plate and the chrome cover that is over the frame. Hope this helps.
