Default Good Job Long Island LEOs

With the ahole rampage in NYC, it seems all the LEOs in the area have been tightening up on road stupidity, especially with bikes. Our LEOs in Suffolk County did a fine job. The Fox news showed what I think was dashcam videos. Just another pack of a$$holes. BEST part was the video of that looked like a Yamaha fall over on the flatbed.. lol.. They deserved this one..

Motorcyclists arrested on Long Island
  •
Suffolk Police arrested seven motorcyclists after dozens of 911 callers reported 20 to 50 individuals driving recklessly on motorcycles and ATVs Sunday afternoon.
The calls came from Main Street in Bay Shore, on westbound Sunrise Highway in West Islip, and on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon, among other locations, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Officers responded and issued numerous field appearance tickets and summonses for various vehicle and traffic law violations.
Samuel Morales, 19, of Brooklyn, who was operating a 2003 Ducati motorcycle, was arrested for driving Without a motorcycle license, reckless driving and resisting arrest. Police say he passed cars on the right shoulder and ran a red light. Police say after falling off his motorcycle, Morales attempted to flee and resisted arrest.
Jason Coleman, 29, of Yonkers, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Police say that Coleman made an illegal U-turn in front of a 2004 Toyota sedan that struck Coleman’s 2009 Yamaha motorcycle.
Tikret Cekic, 23, of Brooklyn, was charged with unlawful fleeing of a police officer after police say he drove through a red light on Pine Aire Drive in Bay Shore at a high rate of speed in an attempt to flee from officers.
Joel Hernandez, 19, of Brentwood, was charged with criminal mischief and reckless driving after police say he backed into a police vehicle on Pine Aire Drive in Bay Shore. The officers in the vehicle were not injured.
Thomas Palacios, 35, of Bay Shore, was charged driving under the influence after police say he operated an ATV on Pine Aire Drive and Washington Avenue in Bay Shore while under the influence of alcohol.
Matthew Valentino, 25, of East Quogue, was charged with reckless driving after police say he drove recklessly on Udall Road in Baywood at a high rate of speed and swerved in and out of on-coming traffic causing other vehicles to swerve off the roadway to avoid him.
A passenger on one of the motorcycles was charged with obstructing governmental administration after a police officer directed her to stop and they say she attempted to flee.
Officers also arrested more than 30 individuals and issued field appearance tickets for trespassing after they gathered on their bikes behind the Suffolk County Department of Social Services building located at 2 South 2nd Street in Bay Shore.
Four motorcycles and one ATV were impounded

Have you noticed a pattern? Most of the trouble-makers are very young & ride rice rockets or ATVs.

Generally, the HD guys are older & ride slow & in control.

Around here we've had document checks. The HD guys all get waved thru. Its crazy - it seems all the ricerocketeers are the trouble makers... Im not saying ALL ricers are trouble makers, but agreeing with your point. I go to a lot of car shows - I own an old Vette.. If theres bitching and moaning 90% of the time it comes from the import guys..

Ah youth and stupidity. Some are lucky enough to survive it. Fortunately I did. Now for any idiot mid-twenties and older, there is no excuse except stupid, and stupid should hurt!

And once again, the New York Post labeled them "BIKERS". Should read "HOODLUMS ON MOTORCYCLES"

This stupid crap is causing all the Police to crack down on all motorcycles. In my town they are even giving parking tickets out for no reason, pulling you over for registration even though they know you have had the same bike 7 years and see you every day.
NY Post shouldn't even have text...just pictures.
