No they don't really lope like a big duration cam but they do run good. This was the first HD I bought that I didn't think it needed a stage one kit day one just to increase performance. That said I did the stage one because it was to dang quiet...lol
I want it to sound like it has a cam, but don't want too much lift.
Get some 204's or 211's will really cut up and both are low on lift at .508 lift. The 211 would probably be little much without added compression. I know of a set of 204's in a SGS and it dynoed 94 hp. and 114 torque with true duals. It was in 40's and 23% humidity.
The stock cam sounds very similar to the 255 if you put a 2 in 1 or true duals on.
I'm thinking about the 204's with a PV from fuelmoto. I don't like the crank vapors going into the breather, so I vented into the atmosphere and may be limited to a K&N filter that will fit in the stock backing plate.

I installed the 204's at around 800 miles on my 14 sgs, what a difference! Great idle and pulls hard...I don't think you will be disappointed.
