Default Floorboard Gun Storage

I have no idea who makes this but it's a great idea if your floorboards are not already too high.

Well I goofed. I now see that this should have gone in The Gun Enthusiast forum.

Foam notwithstanding, I think the pistol would get beat half to death in the floorboard... although a Glock, maybe not so much...hard to fast draw from a floorboard, though.

Think I'd be more worried about dust than getting beat up. My feet don't get beat up and that's where they sit.

Of course your feet don't get beat up, but a metal or plastic object under continual vibration is gonna show signs of wear mo' ricky tick, and the internal parts of that handgun are gonna be vibrating too! Just put something delicate inside your saddlebags sometime... but you're completely correct about dust, and moisture, as well...those footboards aren't weatherproof...

Now, it's possible that the foam will take care of the vibration issues, to be certain, but I'm not so sure that I'd want my own pistol to be the demo unit! I know I've lost a cigar or two in my saddlebags and sissybar bags from vibration along the way.

Fugly! Good concept I suppose, but those have to look ridiculously huge in person.

I see these on Facebook a lot, just saw the pistol one today as normally they have tools in them. I'm thinking I would rather stick mine in a saddle bag or in the tour pack wrapped with a lot of cushion (t-shirts, gloves, sweat shirts) if I felt the need to bring a gun on my bike and not strapped to my hip.

Put some medication (hard pills) into a plastic or metal container and stick it in your tour pak or saddlebag. After doing a few hundred miles, pop the top and see what they look like.
Bad idea and place to store a handgun. Buy a 380 and stick it in your front jean pocket....
