With Nav background color. Seems to switch from a nice green background to black on its own. Owners manual no help. Anyone that can help would be appreciated.

 

Did u download and install update ?

 

Does it do it at dusk?

My Garmin self adjusts for night time use at dusk and goes from green to grays

I also was interested when it does it, that unit has an auto dimming feature in bright/low light conditions. I would also suggest you get the latest software download from your dealer. Mine only took a few minutes and it took out any quirks mine had if it is that instead.

 

Congrats on the new bike. You could check 1st.,to see if you have the lastest version which is 1.17.1.1 on the bike. There were some issues with the older version? You can go to HD website and download the newest version. Follow the instructions on the website. Download it to a flashdrive and plug it into your usb port on the bike. I have my backround color set to gray from day one and it's been fine. The infotainment system takes some getting use to. I've spent hours with mine just getting use to all the features. Be sure to hook your battery tender up in the garage, while getting familiar with it all. Hope this helps?

 

Probably switching from day to night mode. You can adjust that in the display settings.

Is it the background color or the map color? Mine changes map colors like that and I think it does it at the city limits, when you go in and out.

 

Just did the update from 1.6 to 1.7 on mine, fairly painless. Only problem was after the update the screen locked up when I was changing one of the settings in the set up menu, I turned off the ignition for a minute or so and everything went back on. Does anyone know what this update does (other than lock up the screen, LOL)?
