Default OEM Cams & Lifters - trash'em?

Just replaced my Cams, lifters, and pushrods.

My question is what do you guys do with the OEM Cams & lifters when you upgrade? I cut the pushrods so those are in the trash. I tempted to throw all of it in the trash.

Can't imagine they have any resale value.

There's no value other than maybe using the cams as a paperweight. Even then, they are still butt ugly.

I put my cut pushrods in my misc. welding parts bin. Put the lifters in baggies, put the cams in the box the new parts came in. I save it all.

I trashed my stock cams but I had the B lifters so I saved them. They only had 15k on them and still looked new. If you have a newer bike with the C lifters I would junk them.

I had SE255s stock! and I was able to sell them.

As for the stock cams that came out of my 88" TC....I tossed one in the garbage, and used the other as my jockey shift handle.

I've seen people on craigslist looking for stock cams, so they can put them back in the bike before selling/trade-in...

Man, that is a glutton for punishment. Going thru all that work for so little return.
