Default Replacement Bulbs for Front/Rear Turn Signals?

I have a 2011 SG and as we were riding today, my buddy pulls up alongside and tells me that my left rear running light is out (but my turn signal and brake light were still working).

When I got home, I pulled the burnt bulb and it has writing which reads: 198 12V32/3CP

I looked in my Owner's Manual, to no avail, for the bulb specs.

My front/rear turn signals are the bullet style with amber lens in front and red lens in the rear. The bulbs are clear.

What replacements bulbs do I need for the front/rear turn signals on my SG?

Thanks, guys!

I am not sure if there has been a change for 2011 but this is what I use on my ’08:

Front 1157A
Rear 1156A

“A” is for amber so if you want clear look for them without the “A”. You can also find them with “LL” for heavy duty.

They are a common bulb that you can get from Wallmart or auto parts stores.

Why don't you upgrade to LED equivalents. Your bike would look great with smoked lenses and bright LEDs (red bulbs in the rear).

They are just common automotive bulbs.

I had a front one go out last week. I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.

Is the main rear tail-light/brake light also 1156? And the two rear turn signal/tail lamps are 1156 also? In other words all three in the rear are the same? Thanks, I have the H-D numbers for these parts but obviously on the road at Walmart the common bulb numbers is a great idea to know.

I went to Auto Zone yesterday, burnt bulb in hand, and this is what I found for my 2011 SG:

You need dual filaments in the front/rear because the front bulb serves as a turn signal and running light, while the rear bulb serves as a turn signal, running light and stop light.

The physical bulb size/shape, alignment pins and contact points match up perfectly with the OEM bulbs.

FYI, I bought the 1157LL 2-pack because it's a long-life bulb.

Thanks, guys!

I just went to Napa and picked up a few there.

The 1157LL's will work just fine - and consume less power at the same time.
