screaming eagle vs vance & hines
Maybe this has been done before, if so forgive me as I am new to the forum. First off I dont want to start any bashing of one brand over the other. I just want to know everyones' preference. I have read many posts and it seems there are a lot of folks who go with the se slip-ons. I personally went with the v&s slip-ons and God knows I wouldnt change it for nothing. Just love the way they sound on my 1200. Am I in the minority with the v&s slip-ons?? Post your thoughts on why you chose your pipes and whether or not you are happy with your choice.

I have CS slip-ons on,suppose to be louder than SE's.Just installed them last night and this morning when I fired the bike up it was like a whole new bikeLove the sound, don't know if you have heard Cobra's but almost the same but a nice deeper tone, love em'!Did hear a set of Python 2n1's today and they were nice but I liked my tone & louderness more

I installed V&H slip on's a while back. I originally put them on with the stock baffles and they sounded great, but they were a wee bit louder than I wanted (in consideration of the neighbors and the night rides I would take), so I bought and installed the baffles. They still sound great, just more quiet.
I have not really heard the SE slip ons so I can't quite compare the sound. I did like the look of the V&H better than the SE slip ons, but that's just personal taste. It is definately amazing what difference the sound can contribute to the overall riding experience. I went on a few demo rides today and when I road a stock Softail Deluxe it just sounded weird with those stock mufflers.
