cam size
O.K stupid question time!! I have 06 scremin eagle 103 FAT BOY but can not get a straight answer from dealer, but can some one tell me the size cam I'M running in my bike? I think it may beS.E 203 but still not sure, I was thinking of putting a bigger cam for a little more kick, so I just want to be sure before I start to buy. THANK'S PURPLE HAZE.

RE: cam size
The 06 uses the SE 253 cams, I recently swapped out a buddies SE cams for Zippers Redshift 575 cams designed for a replacement for the SE cams, they are very impressive, awesome lopey idle and the bike sounds like it had a pipe change. A lot of performance for the money spent. Keep in mind you will need to buy adjustable pushrods as thebase circles of the Redshift cams are smaller than stock, they call it a bolt-in but I do not consider it a true bolt-in when you are required to change pushrods. You will need a tuner like the SERT or Powercommander also.

RE: cam size
THANK YOU for your reply, I just received a new scremin eagle catalog and the TECH. is telling me since I have 2 in 1 header, K&N, sert, dynoed, I'M making right at 100 H.P & 100 Tourqe so it's O.K but could do better by just changing my cam's to next size and then another dyno but not to knock zipper's but dealer say's will stand by HARLEY part's only and I still have year on warrenty and only 2100 mile's on bike so could you recomend any of the scremin eagle cam's that would not require any more engine mods.? And I would make more Tourqe and H.P, hate to sound cheap but this only is right at a grand, after rod's, labor, and the dyno. I THANK EVERY ONE FOR THERE HELP!! PURPLE HAZE.

RE: cam size
Well, my buddy is back from the tuner, 97HP and 110 torque, He is a member here, I will see if I can get him to post his dyno sheet. As for manners time will tell, we are in the middle of a winter storm right now, 32 degrees and horizontal snowfall makes for crappy riding conditions.

RE: cam size
This cam(Zippers Redshift 575) was installed with no other mods besides adjustable pushrods. You should be able to pull even slightly better numbers with your 2 into 1 pipe. Keep in mind this cam does generate a little valvetrain noise but I think a little noise is a small trade off for great power.
