Default Buell Blast oil change help needed.

Wife's buell blast needs its 1,000 mile oil change and tranny lube changed. I do all my own wrenching and have yet to purchase the service manual on the buell. Does anyone know what the buell blasts Tranny lube requirement is? The regular manual says, "Take your buell to authorized buell service department for proper tools and trained professionals."

ANYTHING you'd want to know about any Buell, you'll find here. Click on the "Thumper" forum for Blast-related info.

Hope this helps!

Thanx for the link. Been there before just never looked around much.

Yep found what I needed. That board is kinda confusing to use but I got the required info.

Funny that here on the HD board most members say that the Buell is not a Harley yet on the Buell board they say they are a Harley.

They are a Harley! Why is there no Buell section on this forum? Not that I would be reading it unless I stumble upon a great deal on a Buell.

Yep - lots of good info on that board. It's a shame that the layout and navigation is so bad. Reminds me of the old BBS systems.

I still have the service manual for my Blast. I meant to sell it; if you're interested, I'll give it to ya cheap! (Gotta find it first though!)

I used syn three in my wifes blast for the motor and the primary, you have to take the left side foot peg support off to change the primary , the oil drain hose and breather drain are located under the left side of the swing arm and you have to drain both then add some oil to the tank and let a bit trickle out then plug the hose again to keep it from getting air locked. good luck and I hope you have alot of crooked wrenches.

This Buell board has a nicer layout IMO and has a Blast forum. http://www.sporttwin.net/Forums.html

and here's a thread about the EZ primary fluid change on the Blast. Sure beats removing the entire left foot peg support, just to get the Derby cover off.
