Just got my "new to me" 2002 RoadKing and discovered in the saddlebags a box that has a tuninning module in it. The dealer said the bike had different pipes and air filter. Does that mean thiis is a "Screaming Eagle" updated bike? If so, what does that actually mean? Thanks...

First ride...home from dealer, 50 miles, and the bike ran great. It's been years since my last bike and I sure have been missing that grinnin feeling.

 

Screaming Eagle is the name of Harley Davidson's High Performance Parts and their Race Team. It sounds like you have some Screaming Eagle Parts on your bike. Probably the Screaming Eagle Race Tuner (SERT). If your bike is running great then it is probably tuned correctly.

Keep that module in case you decide to change the exhaust or modify the engine. The Screamin' Eagle Race Tuners are married to the bike and cannot be used on another bike.

Thats the sound that the Eagle on the seal on US Currency makes, as it leaves your wallet headed to the MoCo.

 

it is the sound my wife made when she found out how much the bike cost.
