They will either pull your score from one of the Bureuas, or use a combined average score of all three. They seem to be pretty lenient with approvals but if you have a low score I hear they kill you on the rates.

It really doesn't matter where they pull your score from. All three are VERY close. They may differ 5 to 10 points.

the credit pull depends on where you live in the u.s., they pull my region. east of mississippi usually pulls experian. west of the mississippi equifax. sometimes these interchange.
harley has an aggressive subprime program that finances down into the five hundreds. it also requires 10-20% down. they also have a delphi program for really poor credit, you must own your own homes for at least seven years, etc. etc. , but the rate is around 19%.

this is per my buddy who is the finance manager at a local dealership.

about the credit scores they can vary widely, I have a transunion score that is 80 points below the others. has a loan on it that shows a balance overdue of 2400, the rest show I paid the car off and ontime, go figure. I had to pay an attorney $400 to take care of it. they didnt even want to talk with me on the phone, but took him one call and one letter.
good luck

As long as you are breathing you can get approved through Harley right now. Shoot, even I did and the rate wasn't that bad.

not so much anymore. Harley is tightening their restrictions now a days since they've seen a much bigger increase in loan defaults. This is the exact reason that their stock closed at a measly 58.75 at the end of 1st quarter. they have been feeding from the subprime trough for quite a while and are now feeling the bite.

Credit scores from the three primary bureaus can vary widely and it is very common to find errors......some that dramatically affect scoring.

Normally they use the mid score from the three major - Experian, TransUnion, or Equifax.
If there are quite a few defaults, this would be a good time to pick one up at an auction.
