Default Tank Bra install

Just got my new 2006 Ultr Classic. Cobalt/Silver. Great ride put 250 miles on it yesterday. Like everyone bought a few goodies. Can not figure out on how to install tank bra. Do you need to remove rear and lift tank?

Thanks in advance

Well I hope I’m telling you right. This is how I installed mine, IAW the instructions wash and wax the tank. Take the elastic band, and bring it forward over the Speedo and the dash rubber cover at the front of the tank. Now work it under the tank by the xover. Now where the band stops, remember that. Now use those friction sticks, put it right there. Because the wind my have that band moving. Now last is to take the single strap and bring it under the frame by the heads and hook it to that single loop.

I hope this helps

just do a 3m paint protection film, you don't change the look or color and the tank piece may only be $40.00 or less.look up a dealer thru www.xpel.com or go to 3m.com and look up paint protection.

I have a 2005 Classic also and went for tank bra. Gave up after a while, put on bra for fairing and bags, look great and protection works well. Tank bra has to come off every time you wash bike and also catches a lot of sand, grit and dust. Return for another goodie.

[8D] I only have experience in taking Bra's off.....it's usually pretty easy with one or two hooks only.[8D]

If you value your bike's paint, do not use a tank bra!
Dirt will get under it and scratch the finish.

Joe's suggestion about the 3M film is a better alternative.
Also.... try: http://www.snidersproducts.com and check out their cling film. I have used it for quite a while, and it's a great product.
