RE: S&S 570G cam
I've got the S&S 510G's in my 88 and they're working GREAT!!!! I'm unaware of a bigger "bolt-in" cam that works with all the stock valvetrain. Will it work in a 98 kit with heads? It's REALLY similar to the T-37 Andrews being used, and if so, that's cool, as i can use the stock valvetrain, and save $$$$$$, which, by the way, I'm all about these days.[]

Actually the 570 is a rather popular cam. Works really well with the very inexpensive (these days) SE performance heads and flat top pistons. Makes for a 100+ lbs/ft of torque. Very good low and mid range, and with a little bit of head cleanup and valve grind can make some surprising HP as well.

RE: S&S 570G cam
I see by the posts that most of you have big cubes with the 570...I put one in my 88 EFI motor and it's a bit radical. Runs good once off idle but rough starting off. Having problems with fuel/mixture and will be on dyno next week.
At this point, I am trying to decide amongst tuners...PC vs SERT...both seem to have good qualities although I have read good and bad on many forum threads.
This message isn't about which tuner...more about your thoughts on the 570 with the 88...anybody else out there with big lobes on small cubes...?
Thanks...

Nice job...Great Pics...! ! !
I finally decided the 570G's were too big for my diminuitive 88...went for the Andrews 37G with .510 lift, a little less duration. Just had it dyno'ed today and am not happy...spits and sputters below 1700 driving like a normal person 'round town...but if I drive it like I stole it, WOW... Tendency is to want to shift higher to keep the torque up...feels good... Then I put the baffles back in and it rides like a charm only much more power than with the stock cam. Using SERT and will try to get out the kinks with no baffles...
Thanks for the link...
