I've got no luck ... ape hangers ... updated w/ pics
I've been waiting since early april to get my 14" apes installed. Finally all theparts came ina few weeks ago. Well, when it was time to take the bike in, I got sick. I'm not dying or anthing, but a good case of the flu. There was no way I was rescheduling, so I rode an hour and a half (in the rain)to pick up the remaining cables and then drop them off with the bike to the dealer.
I was toast by the time I got backhome. That was Wednesday. Thursday they did the work and I was supposed to pick the bike up Thurs evening, but couldn't get out of bed. Now it's Friday and I've got to work all weekend, so I don't get to pick the bike up until Monday. Ugghhh. And I still feel like ****
I hope good things do come to those who wait.
I will post pics when I finally get the bike back home.

After reading many horror stories and unreasonable service expenses, I'm serously thinking about doing the handlebars myself.
I also still not sure if I want 14's or 16's yet. I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam and my wing-span is 64" (If I remember correctly). I also want to get the 1 1/4" thick bars. Maybe the Chubby's.
oh well. Good luck and get well.

dynamite, when you put them on did you have the risers longer so you could set back rather than be pulled forward and have to slump, i am thinking on my wideglide i will go with maybe the 12 or 14 and have them pulled back two inches so i can set more straight in the saddle

To wideglidebob, weve highjacked the thread but youd be suprised how far back apes allow you to sit. I had to push mine pretty far forward, or I felt surrounded bye the bars and was leaning way back[:@]I think if you put pullback risers on with apes, they will be to close to your sholders. Also, put urethane bushings on, huge improvement
