Default modify stock mufflers

looking for information about making stock mufflers sound better.does any one know how this can be done. any info. apprecaited

It can be done - They sell them all the time on E-Bay... But if your going to go that far might as well put on a set on SE or Rush mufflers

You can take a hole saw and drill out the plugs on each end of the muffler. If you look at the muffler from the end( ie, inside) you will see a flat, this is what needs to be drilled out. Each end of the muffler. It is a one inch or inch and a quarter. Once they are drilled out you will be able to see through the muffler.

We have done a couple sets by beating a steel rod or pipe thru it,quick and easy!

I sent out some take offs to a guy I found on ebay, he is in Michigan, I think he charged me $150 to do it, they sounded great, and you could see through them. He puts in a 2" ID baffle. If you are interested, PM me and I'll see if I can dig up his email.

I know a guy on e-bay were I got mine, this set was 140.00 but he will mod yours to a 1,2or3 2 being the same as SE but a deeper tone for 85.00 plus shipping.
