Looking to get rid of the cheap looking sticker running the length of the tank center console, but don't want to replace it with another flimsy sticker.
Any of you guys replace the stock insert and if so with what? Pictures/links would help me out if you have any. I'm not necessarily looking for a $150 replacement, but would consider it if nothing else is out there.

Changed out the one on my R/G with a another HD one..was easy and I like it

 

I replaced mine with another harley piece.The one i put on was the carbon fiber one with the bar and sheild logo on the bottom. looks much better than stock. I dont have a camera at the moment but intend to borrow one real soon and get some pics to post of my latest bike upgrades.

Was the carbon fiber insert also a thin sticker or did it have some thickness to it?

 

I replaced mine with the flamed HD one...easy to swap out and its just another thing to make mine a little differant from the standard. I think it was around $40-50. I thought it was just a decal but its actually a piece of thin metal.

those inserts look great, and unique too. I couldn't find anything for Street Glide though......

 

Arlen Ness has what I think you're looking for. It's a chromed billet insert.
