Default Which 2003 bikes are "gold key"

I have the deal worked out, the financing approved, and the wife (close enough to) in agreement. It is a 2003 FatBoy (FLSTFI). The paint is black on black with the silver 100th Aniv. stripes on the tank and fenders. It has medallions on the tank (not sure about the fender since I haven't actually seen the bike in person yet). I have seen some 2003 bikes labeled as "gold key". Is that significant? and how can I tell if this bike is "gold key"?

Of course, I don't really care. I am moving up from my first bike (a 2000 XL 883). The FatBoys ride like a dream and this one has Stage 1 kit, V&H short shots, some extra chrome, detach windshield and back rest, engine guard w/ highway pegs, etc.

I will be taking her home in the morning (the dealer has to bring the bike from another location). Here she is:

Jaxn you have a beautiful bike for sure! How was the price and mileage? I think the gold key comes only with C.V.O. models (scremin eagles) and your bike is a 100th anniversary bike and good ones are very desireable bike to own, especially a FAT BOY with a lot of high price goodies, you can go to hdtrader.com and look for what they sell for or go to N.A.D.A. and get tradein values and retail too, but they may have had a gold key for 03's, but I have a 06 C.V.O. and gold key in box, not really gold I think shiny brass! GOOD LUCK ON THAT SWEET RIDE!! PURPLE HAZE.

12k miles on it, and it is priced accordingly. I think it is a pretty good time to be buying a bike with the new models coming out. I actually went in to put in an order for a Fat Bob, but then I rode a Fat Boy and knew instantly what bike I wanted.

Now I am just spending the evening hanging out here, watching the hours pass until it is ready for me to pick up.

I have a 2005 Screamin Eagle Fat Boy it comes with a gold key. Ileave it in a drawer at home, so it wont get scratched up, really no advantage to having it.

Thats not bad on the miles and there is a guy on FORUM that thinks the FAT BOB will take the FAT BOY riders saying it is a better machine, I love my FAT BOY fits like a tailor made suit! And the ride on highway at 65,75,80, just like a caddy, sometimes though I fish for another gear but 5 speed is fine for now, hell used to ride superglide with 4 speed. PURPLE HAZE.

For the 03 the Gold key was basically extra items. Kinda like a glorified "Riders Essentials" kits that they offer for todays bikes but a key instead of a belt buckle.

I just went to hdtrader.com and looked at 03 FAT BOYS, man they are not cheap!!!!!! I saw one with only one mile, asking $21,000.00 and saw one with 8 miles asking $15,000.00, so they are all over the board, also 47 for sell on hdtrader.com. looks like you got a good one and the one with 8 miles said he had gold key. PURPLE HAZE.

The gold key was an extras package like those on the link to barnets above. When I bought mine I almost went for it, but decided just to get the extra bling I wanted. About 6 months later I found a dealer that was selling just the keys - In the end this was much cheaper. Not sure if some day that would make it worth more - I doubt it - it is in a shadowbox on my wall with some other 100th aniv. stuff
