As far as good i can tell you this, at a shop i go to visit quite a bit had a bike there one day that was a wide glide and they had put a 180 on it front and rear. This is what the customer requested. They said it actually handled great. Probably better than when stock.

Some time ago, on ebay, I saw a rk that had a 300 front and rear tire. It was big and massive. I loved it. Doubt it was good in the handling department, but man, I would have bought it.

IMHO, what sold me on the HD touring bikes was their great handling. If you're going fora true custom look, then it may be worth the sacrifice; however I think this mod would result in a significant degradation in handling. I'd be afraid to go much higher than a 150 or 160 if I wanted to retain the handling characteristics. Just my $0.02.

I have ridden some exile built bikes with the 200mm tire...and they ride damn good, we are have an Electra glide project we are starting pretty soon and going with a 300 tire on the rear......

Heavydate,
I was thinking of a 200/200mm. Check with these guys for the trees and axles.
