Default grease lightning cleaner/degreaser....

just a heads up for impatient folks like myself...

Wednesday night I changed out all of the rocker box gaskets on the scooter. Well, let's just say the rear one took me two tries(guess they arn't $hittin about correct side up!). Anywho, had a little leakage going down the highway on the test run.

Had been planning to ride with a buddy after work last night and needed to wash up the oil(don't really care for the smell of the residue[:'(]). Soooo, started washing the scooter and thought, " hey there dumba$$, ya got degreaser in the house.... just a little squirt..".
and then

HOKEY $HIT!!! My polished alumn went from slightly duller than chrome(I polish the alumn non-stop seems like, next time a custom for sure!)to looking like someone dumped a 5 gallon bucket of milk ona hot engine!!! WTF!!!!

Lesson learned... citrus cleaner degreaser =good, that crap they sell in a purple bottle = BAD.

Looks like this evening after dark is going to consist of a 12pack, couple rags, bottle of profesional v40 cleaner, nanowax, and some damn sore fingers....

did I mention a twelve pack?!?!?

I messed up a set of wheels on a Mustang I used to have. I used the Greased Lightning to remove the brake dust.
It came right off.... along with the clear coat.
After that the wheels "held" brake dust like crazy.[:@]

Success!!!! Got the streaks and discoloration off the alumn Friday night.
The product I used is called Zephyr Pro 40 to clean and shine. Then sealed it with Nano Wax. The Pro 40 Polish takes time to use, as far as small areas and some hard rubbing, but it worked.
