OK. Theres nothing to "DRILL OUT" as you will see. Take the back part of the exhaust off and unscrew the backend cap. their are three hex screws. Tap that off and take a long screw driver and tap out the baffle. Before you do that spray the he*l out of the baffle. It will pop out. NOW you can see that theres no reason to drill. theres nothing to drill. Its already wide open except for a small area in front. thats for some back pressure. If you buy the performance baffles, they will quiten the bike down some believe it or not.
Heres the thing. If your wanting LOUD PIPES and your not worried about prformance. Take the baffels out and thats the loudist your going to get those pipes but its going to be LOUD and you will loose some bottom end. You might want to have your bike put on a dyno after removing the baffels also. I really dont know why you would want it louder, its going to be hard for others to ride behind you with blown out pipes and I dont know where you live , but some states have laws now about loud pipes.

Why do people buy touring bikes and want to install loud pipes? I have Rinehart true duals on my 05 standard and installed the performance baffles that would not work on my friend's 07 Rineharts. I rode all summer with the performance baffles and about ready to re-install the quiet baffles.

Yes there is something to drill out if you pull the bafflesinside RHslip on mufflers. Been there, done that. Again, this is not an easy task. If you pull the end caps, you will see the baffle. Mine required a slide hammer to remove but all thats over now. Reinstall is a pain too as the metal will be deformed while pulling them. Dont know if the true duals mufflers are the same or not but I don't see why they wouldn't be. Good luck.

Keep running around and pissing off the public an the 106db will become 89db real quick. Those dang things are plenty loud to begin with. I have a neighbor who has them on a stock 88" and I hear him coming home each night he has been out late.
