Default Harley Owners Group..

So are all you guys members of the Harley Owners Group? Just wondering what the general opinion was regarding the membership and what it can offer.

Thanks,
CC

No, I am not. And I see no reason to spend money on a group so I can ride with people I don't even know.

I have friends for that.

I heard it gets you 10% discount on parts from the dealer, but I rarely go to the dealer.

one of the reasons I enjoy riding is the solitude. I get tired of putting up with people every day . why would I pay money to be irritated.

Gives you contacts to ride with and I think some sort of service to pick you up if your bike breaks down...oh and let's not forget the patches...plenty of patches.

It has it's pros and cons. They do good stuff, have lots of rides and meetings. What I hate is the goodie-goodie way they run things. Family this, safety that. That and did I mention the patches?

Doesn't hurt to go to one of their meetings and see if it's for you. Me, I'd go if they had the meetings at the titty bar. Hehehe!

Well, if you break down it will get you road assistance. I also like all the online trip planning stuff.

I joined this year because the rally was coming to my town. Not a bad price to get the wife and I in the concert and the rally. Other than that you get road assistance but, I don't think I'll join next year.

Damn cool patches though..............................and a pin.............................and a decal I think. lol

I don't belong. No particular reason why not, except that I am not into ridingwith large groups.

i belong because i saved about 100.00 on insurance. i had a policy with progressive with my old bike. when i bought my harley progressive qouted me 300.00. i went through hog and got it for 200 from progressive, go figure.

i also liked the road side assistance that hog offer and they will pay some towards the msf rider course.

you usally get a part discount if your a local member but i'm not.

i'll never probally ride with any hog group but thats not what i joined for.

ride safe
