I am looking at a lot of wheels on ebay. Is there a big difference between the 99 and down and 2000 and up besides the sealed bearings and spacer size? I want to get a spoked 21" front wheel for my fatboy and don't know if it will work. Surely someone here knows. I have some 99 and down fatboy rims that the front one fit fine just needed different spacers. Is it the same for these other wheels? Here is an example of some of the wheels I am talking about. make sure you get chromed and not the anodized, harley didne!t start using chrome till 05 models, 99 to 04 were anodized, same with alot of these after market wheels, also from exp, don!t go against stock spacer, you will really be sorry down the road, good luck that will look sweet on your bike

 

Anubisss. The axle size is different and I know the rear wheel is larger.

Axle size is the same in the front. I put an 04 21" front wheel on my 96 softail and all I had to do was turn the spacers down to fit. The spacers were too wide because the sealed bearings stick out of the hub more.
