Default Dyna wheelies??

I have been doing a lot of 'youtube" watching while the snow has piled up outside and have been seeing a lot of Harley Wheelie videos. What does it take to get the front wheel of a harley up long enough to ride a decent wheelie? I know my 96 FDXL is not capable of it and was wonderingwhat the heck these guys have doen to their bikes to get that much power?

I don't think it's "not enough power", it's gettting the power to hook-up. I get more wheelspin than wheelie.

I did it a few times on my FXDL... w/just a stage I setup. I could pull the front up about a foot. Took some practice, and felt lik I was being a little rough on it, but she'd do it, it just a matter of clutch play, and not being afraid to let the engine rev-up.

wheelies on a dyna arn't sheeeeit. your 96 is more than capable. all it takes is some playing with the clutch. will it throttle upon its own? no. if you ride about 7-10 mph and throttle up and pop the clutch i would be surprised if it didn't come up. i've never ridden a bike that won't rip up a wheelie with the right amount of throttle and clutch. don't need big ***** either. the first street bike i ever owned was a 250 suzuki that some swapped in a 5 speed and even that underpowered hoo-ride popped wheelies like no ones business. alot of people say it can't or shouldn't be done but they do, easier than they think also.
