Default 1978 amf 250 sx

I own a 1978 250 amf/ harley sx 250 2 stroke, 78 was the last year the model was made, and this was the most expensive model, but does anyone know if this is a classic? Ive searched long and hard to find out anything on this and cant, but anyways Im intrested in selling it because its not what I want, Its pretty much mint condition, so if anyone has any info, ideas on price, or if its a classic please tell me, also if you would be interested in buying this I can get some pics up in a few days. Thanks

Well, I guess it could be called a classic but not in the same sense as the big bikes. Harley was giving these away the last couple years they were made. But now there is a market for them. A friend of mine here in Charleston bought out all the NOS parts for these Italian bikes. He might be able to turn you on to someone interested in it.

No offence to you personally, but I've read somewhere that the reason they named them AMF/SX was short for:

AMF

SuX

Just rumor, I could be wrong. LOL!

Unfortunately, yes, you are right. Most of the regretable history of Harley-Davidson was the "AMF" years. When you hear about years of Harley's breaking down, falling apart, just plain being pieces of crap, they are refering to the "AMF" years and people with experience in these matters know what this is all about. I hope he can sell it at a good price and get his "real" Harley.

I say, Good luck!!!

Honda, I don't want to play the game. Do you really own it? How much do you want, bottom line. Pics? Title number? P.M. me.

I have one too that is in peices in about 5 boxes, someone else took it apart and then I got it off of him when he moved. There is a place in California that sells parts and manuals for these bikes, he told me one that is in mint condition it's worth $1500 to $1800, but that is for a pristine one. Do a google search for aermacchi
